Cory was born and raised in Brantford, Ontario and began cooking at age fifteen, starting his own catering business out of his family home. He's a graduate of Stratford Chefs School and did his apprenticeship at Scaramouche restaurant in Toronto.
Some of Chef Cory’s other career highlights include his gig as sous chef at Cecconi's, in Melbourne, Australia (2003) and hef de cuisine at Toronto’s Drake Hotel (2004-2007). Cory was voted the best new chef in Toronto in 2009 by Enroute Magazine and acted as the national spokesman for Thermador (2010, 2011).
Cory owns and operates the Flock Rotisserie and Greens which offers delicious food that's "pretty good for you" whether you're looking for a speedy take-out option or a casual dine-in spot- Flock is a quality, healthy and easy choice- it offers fresh ingredients. After 10 years, in October of 2016, Vitiello announced the closing of the Harbord Room. The team has decided to focus on a new- large scale venture that will be opening in 2017 in addition to the 4 Flock Rotisserie and Greens locations. The Harbord Room was an award winning restaurant. Along with the Harbord Room's impeccable reviews, Toronto Life named their burger the best in Toronto for the second time. Condé Nast Magazine named the restaurant one of its best world-wide hot-spots in 2010, Enroute Magazine called it one of the best new restaurants in Canada, and NOW Magazine has called the Harbord Room the best restaurant in the Annex since 2010. As well as being an accomplished chef, Cory showed off his "on camera" talent on food network's "Chef In Your Ear".
