What’s the Big Feastival all about?
The Big Feastival is a summer festival combining top-class food with live entertainment, and plenty of family fun for all ages on the beautiful grounds of Burl's Creek in Oro-Medonte, Ontario.
When and where?
- Friday, August 18th from 3:00pm to 11:00pm (Open to Campers only)
- Saturday, August 19th from 10:00am to 1:00am
- Sunday, August 20th from 10:00am to 11:00pm
The Big Feastival is located at Burl’s Creek (240 8 Line S, Oro Station, ON L0L 2E0).
How do I get there?
Please see our Location page.
Is there overnight camping? What if I don’t want to camp?
Yes, there is full weekend camping and we will announce a range of ‘glamping’ options. RV spaces are available but are limited in number. Camping is a lot of fun, but if it’s not your thing, there are a number of transit options to get you to and from site.
Can I bring food?
Campers are welcome to bring food and drink to the Campsite. A wide selection of food and drink will be available for purchase in the Main Arena, where feastival-goers will not be permitted to bring their own items for consumption.
Can I book a seat in The Big Kitchen?
Canada’s top chefs will be cooking up a storm in The Big Kitchen and it’s going to be popular. To be as fair as possible, seats will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so you won’t be able to book a place beforehand. We recommend planning your day in advance and getting to your chosen sessions early to get a good spot!
Can I bring my dog?
As much as we love dogs, things would get a little chaotic if every man and his dog came along. So we’ve decided the men (and women and children) can come but the dogs must stay at home. Guide and assistance dogs are, of course, welcome.
Is this a child-friendly festival?
The Big Feastival is for everyone, big and small. There’ll be plenty of hands-on activities for both big and little ones, with baby-changing facilities for new mums and dads.
Re-entry to the Event is not permitted, with the exception of parents/guardians accompanying children under the age of 16. After spending the day with the family at The Big Feastival, you can drop the kids home with the babysitter and come back to party!
Single use re-entry passes will only be issued on site to parents/guardians who are in possession of either an Adult ticket or a Child ticket and this pass allows for re-entry to the event with or without your child. The reason for this exception is because The Big Feastival is a family-friendly event and we want to be flexible to the needs of parents/guardians. Adults not accompanying children to the event will not be allowed re-entry.
Is the site wheelchair-accessible?
The site is generally suitable for wheelchairs. Please be aware that The Big Feastival is an outdoor event in fields that could pose problems for mobility (particularly in wet weather). Please see our Accessibility page for more details.
Will there be food for vegetarians/vegans?
There will be a wide variety of food available and we aim to cater for everyone. Check back to our Street Food page for more details.
I have a nut/dairy/seafood allergy (i.e. serious allergy), can I still come to the Feastival?
Whilst participating restaurants at The Big Feastival will make every attempt to identify ingredients that may cause the most common allergic reactions, there is always a risk of cross-contamination and those with allergies should be mindful of this. Please check with food traders before eating and they will be able to advise.
Will there be shower facilities in the Campsite?
Yes, there is a shower area in the main family Campsite which all campers are able to use.
